Study in the Czech Republic
Hello everyone! My name is Baigali Bayasgalan from Mongolia. I’m currently studying at Brno University of Technology (BUT) majoring in food science and technology in the Czech language. I’m in the 2nd year of my bachelor program. Why study in the Czech Republic? When I was a student at the National University of Mongolia, my professor recommended me to study in the Czech Republic. He graduated from Charles University with a degree in microbiology. I’m really into brewing process of beers. I was really lucky to find a scholarship from the Czech government. I studied the first year in the Czech Republic in a small spa town called Mariánské Lázně. The Mariánské Lázně study centre is a specialized centre committed to preparing international students for study at Czech universities. After my preparatory course, I started to study at BUT, Faculty of Chemistry. The Brno University of Technology (BUT) is one of the leading teaching high-quality education and research, especially in Sciences, Engineering in central Europe. I like the BUT campus, it has nature all around.
Living in Brno,
I have fallen in love with the city of Brno, it is very safe. It has a city beautiful architecture, city parks, observatory, affordable public transport. But mostly I love the brewery tour in Brno. There is the biggest brewery in Moravia (Starobrno), several craft breweries and home-made beer producers are active in the city now. Dormitories will cost you 140-160 euros per month. From Brno, two hours by bus or one and a half by train will get you to Vienna in Austria and Slovak capital of Bratislava. Brno has been my home for almost 3 years now and I’m enjoying every day of it.
