What experiences make you a great ambassador?
One of the greatest feelings in life is that of having a purpose, and the meaning we award to it is advertised by the experiences we encounter during a lifetime. I believe that being a daughter to Cuban parents, a child raised in Uruguay, and a teenager molded in the United States and Sweden, has defined my purpose. Enjoying the positive and adverse qualities from multiple cultural backgrounds has enriched my path with copious lessons and experiences.
Learning the importance of understanding others has granted several of my most precious achievements; thus, my decision to assume the role of a Student Ambassador was motivated by my aptitude for communicating effectively among cultures. From my past experiences living in diverse countries I learned how important it is to adapt to a new environment, yet, holding onto and sharing our own costumes is what will make any place our home. Hence, my purpose is to assist all students in their unique process of making Brno their new home.
What advice would you give to new students?
In order to succeed professionally, it is vital to keep a clear mind and a healthy body. Explore your new opportunities, evaluate what works best for you, ask for help when needed, and challenge yourself when required. Create a routine that provides you stability while not neglecting the importance of engaging in new adventures. Remember that your colleagues and professors from the FSS are there to assist you every step of the way, academically and emotionally.

What do you love most about Brno?
Despite being a small city, Brno possesses a wide variety of options when it comes to social activities. The City is filled with great bars and cafés that will help anyone disconnect a stressed mind. Make sure to keep an open eye around all the different holidays, Czechs really know how to celebrate and throw amazing events!
Brno is strategically placed for all those who love to travel, hop on a great journey, and visit new cities and countries every time you can.
