Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog! My name is Nashwa Atroosh and I come all the way from Yemen. I am currently a Master's graduate from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Brno University of Technology. I am here to offer some of my experiences as a foreign student in Brno.

Why study in Brno?

It makes sense to ask this question because making a huge decision to move into another country is not an easy thing to do, especially at a young age. But what helped me to make this decision is my interest in the beauty of architecture in Europe. So, when I was in high school, I always wanted to travel and study in Europe. I was researching about different universities, the programmes they offered. After a very long process, I narrowed down my options and finally settled at the Brno University of Technology. This university has a very excellent reputation and offers many fields of study programs that cover most of what people are passionate about. They provide some English courses for those who are interested as well. Of course, there are many other factors as well, for example the affordability of the dormitories, the transportation, and food in cafeterias, etc...

The Uplifting Atmosphere in Brno

It is truly a surreal experience to live in Brno, there is basically so much to do here – from admiring the beautiful architecture to witnessing the culture and socializing with people. Everyone is very friendly and helpful so there is no need to be shy and ask when needed.
