What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic/Brno/MENDELU? 

After a long period of research, I had decided to study in the Czech Republic mainly due to its advantageous location in the hearth of Europe. My priority was to study in Brno, which was economically much more affordable compare to the other places in Europe. In particular, the study programs that MENDELU offers, was the key point for me. The study programme that I completed here, which was International Development Studies, was a very interesting programme that is completely my centre of interest.  

Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, and university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country? 

At the end of three years, I am convinced that my study fully met my expectations. The academic staff and the study environment at the Faculty of Regional Development and International studies were truly thrilling. Having a very diverse team of lecturers from all over the world, especially from the countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Spain, and China, have increased my motivation significantly and helped me to achieve my targets. Most importantly, I have found the friendly environment and rewarding relationships between the students and lecturers very helpful. In this regard, all of this can be considered as significant differences from studying in my country.  

What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in the Czech Republic/Brno? 

Experiencing a university life in a city that has and incredible amount of students, which also makes it an amazing student town, was the biggest surprise for me. The combination of the student life, history, culture, and science in the city of Brno creates an unbelievable atmosphere for the students. 

What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in Brno/MENDELU? 

I had countless memorable experiences as a student in Brno. All of them had taken place thanks to the opportunities that were being provided by the MENDELU. It is basically possible to make a memorable experience every day in such an active city. I had also amazing memorable experiences in Poland and Greece, where I was an Erasmus student who used the opportunities of going abroad. MENDELU has extraordinary choice and promotions of exchange and internship programs.   

How do you think your time in the Czech Republic/Brno/MENDELU has helped your studies and/or your career?  

My study at MENDELU has made me to broaden my conception of the world and it has helped me to improve myself in many diverse areas. In particular, learning a new language at the university has provided me with a lot of new opportunities. On the other hand, gaining real experiences through the internships and exchange programs was the most important thing that helped me to be accepted at many other European universities for the master degree.
